Somerset Basketball returns for the 2021/2022 season
119After a long and difficult, COVID-19 enforced hiatus, Basketball is set to return with the first SBL match of the season taking place on 30/09/21 at Richard Huish College, when newcomers Huish Tigers host 2019/20 league runners up Taunton Tornados.
Huish Tigers aren’t the only new team to the SBL this season with the Taunton Tornados club going from strength to strength and entering a second team, Tornados 2. Sadly, Culm Valley Comets won’t be entering a team for the first time in over 8 seasons. We hope to see them back in the future.
Following the opening match between Tigers and Tornados, league competition will continue the next day, Friday 1st October, with Dragons hosting Tornados 2 at Castle Sports Centre. On Friday 8th October Bucs 2 host Baltics at B&T College Bridgwater Centre and on Tuesday 12th Tornados 2 host Tigers at B&T College Taunton Centre.
