The Play-Off competition format, as in previous years, will be two semi-finals and a final to determine the SBL Play-Off Champions. First place Huish Tigers will play fourth place Taunton Dragons and second place Bridgwater Blackhawks will play third place Bridgwater Bucs.

This year’s league was the most competitive we’ve seen for a long while. Second, third and fourth place positions were determined by the final game of the season Taunton Dragons vs Bridgwater Bucs. With their victory in that game Bridgwater Bucs moved from 5th place to 3rd overtaking Chard Flight by 2 league points and having the head-to-head tie breaker over Taunton Dragons who finished with the same points total. Had Dragons won, they would have overtaken Bridgwater Blackhawks for second place by 1 point, Blackhawks would have finished 3rd, Flight 4th and Bucs 5th.

This season 53 out of 57 fixtures were completed with 4 being forfeit. 1 game was abandoned. 21 games were decided by 8 or fewer points, 7 games were decided by less than 4 points, 5 games were decided by less than 3 points and 1 game came down to a single point! There were 3 games requiring overtime this season and 1 of those could only be decided after a second overtime period.

A total of 3,635 baskets were scored (7,654 points) across all games. Of those baskets 2,299 were two-point field goals (4,598 points), 579 were three-point field goals (1,737 points) and 757 were made free-throws. The most points scored in a single game this season was 106 by Bridgwater Blackhawks.

There were 118 individual players that took part in at least one SBL 24/25 fixture.
