Somerset Basketball is asking teams to provide an expression of interest for next year’s (20/21) Somerset Men’s league. Follow the link above to submit an online expression of interest. We are asking for this now to help with planning for next year.

The format or length of the season is yet to be determined and will be done so in line with Basketball England and advice of the UK Government in light of recent events with COVID-19.

The hope is the league can start as normal at the end of September / Early October and run through until the Easter break with each team facing each other a minimum of once home and away including a playoff structure.

If this isn't possible the league will explore all option to have a completed season, whether that be condensed fixtures, central venue games or extending the season past its usual deadline. This decision if needed will be done in conjunction with all current and proposed new members to the SBL. 

For clubs intending to enter more than one side please fill out an expression of interest for each team.  

The SBL welcomes new applications/expressions of interest from anyone, community groups or teams outside Somerset wishing to join our league.
