Wells Warriors have been a staple of the SBL since its inception, with their senior men’s team finishing third place in the league in 2012/13 and 2013/14. It is a real shame the Warriors are not able to make it work this year but Somerset Basketball hopes they will be able to regroup and come back stronger in the future. Head coach Matt Croucher, notified the league on Monday evening:

Sorry to say but we have to reluctantly pull out of the league. We just don't have enough committed players to make it financially viable and run the risk of not being able to fulfil our fixtures. Sorry for the short notice and for letting people down. I'm hoping we can regroup and be back for the following season. Good luck to everyone.
