The 19/20 SBL came to an end on Friday (14/02/20) with the final match between Taunton Dragons and Culm Valley Comets ending 84 – 72 to Dragons.

Unfortunately for Dragons, despite the win, they miss out on 4th place. With both Dragons and Comets finishing with the same record (4 wins 6 losses), league positions were determined by the head-to-head tiebreaker. In their home fixture against Dragons, Comets won 73 – 56, a 17-point margin. Dragons therefore would have needed an 18 point+ win at home to finish above them in the standings. Commiserations to Dragons and congratulations to Comets for making it to the post-season for the third year in a row.

Congratulations to Bridgwater Bucs (9 wins 1 loss) who once again finish 1st in the league, retaining their Champions title for the 3rd season in a row. Bridgwater Baltics (7 wins 3 losses) finish runners up and Taunton Tornados (6 wins 4 losses) finish in third place, their best record since the 2013/14 season.
